Core Values
Faith
Tyrell was raised with a strong Christian foundation, and his faith continues to be a source of strength, guidance, and comfort. He believes faith gives us the tools to face difficult times and the hope to move forward. While faith is personal, Tyrell values the diverse spiritual expressions that make up New Orleans. He believes everyone should be free to worship as they choose and that our shared values can unite us.
Hard Work
Nothing worth having comes easy. Tyrell believes in the power of rolling up your sleeves and doing the work. From fixing potholes to fixing policy, he’s ready to face the tough challenges head-on. Everyone has a responsibility to shape their own future—but government should be there to remove barriers, not create them.
Accountability & Transparency
Tyrell believes in a city government that works for the people—not around them. He will be a good steward of taxpayer dollars, promote transparent budgeting, and create systems for real-time public access to city finances.
Opportunity for All
No one should be left behind. From those facing hard times to kids in underserved neighborhoods, Tyrell believes in second chances and systems that lift people up—not hold them down.
